Children and young people who have heart disease or are limited as regards their physical performance suffer from a lack of mobility and restrictions in terms of the physical activities they can pursue. Often enough, on account of the health challenges they face, children with heart disease are not in a position to do sports. The association Herzkrankes Kind Homburg/Saar e.V. aims to help them surmount these obstacles by providing e-bikes which the children can borrow from the association. With the electrical assistance when cycling, they can expand the radius of their movement on the one hand and conquer new leisure activities on the other. Thanks to the e-bikes, they can now take part in leisure pursuits they felt debarred from before. That strengthens their self-assurance and their social integration. Together with Kinderträume – an ETL Group Foundation, eurodata is supporting this project with a donation of 6,000 euros.
